What we're about

This is a group for anyone who does UX research or who is interested in how understanding your users through research strategies can improve what you offer and why it's valuable. We'll meet to discuss ideas, practices, and real-life problems. While informal, meetings will often feature a guest presenter who can lead a topic or demonstrate a tactic and then facilitate discussion. Interested in presenting? Great! Just get in touch to pitch your idea.

Key words: user experience research, human-centered design, inclusive design, UX/UI, accessibility

Pitch-up Illusions: How great researchers can avoid misleading indicators

Join us for an insightful evening with Nate Sanders, co-founder and CEO of Motif. Nate will share his insights on establishing clear indicators in research and avoiding research ‘illusions’. Nate has spent nearly a decade in user experience, user research, and product management, and he’s seen several research efforts go amiss by following false indicators. Nate will walk through three best practices that help research teams dramatically increase the validity and impact of their research. Food and drinks will be provided by Motif along with a raffle for 3-months access to the Motif Studies product.
