What we’re about

.NET Core is a general purpose, modular, cross-platform and open source implementation of the .NET Standard. It contains many of the same APIs as the .NET Framework and includes runtime, framework, compiler and tools components that support a variety of operating systems and chip targets.  It can be used in device, cloud and embedded/IoT scenarios.

.NET Core is an open-source and cross-platform version of .NET that is maintained by Microsoft and the .NET community on GitHub.

All aspects of .NET Core are open-source including class libraries, runtime, compilers, languages, ASP.NET Core web framework, Windows desktop frameworks, and Entity Framework Core data access library.

This is a place for .NET developers and anyone interested to get together and talk architecture, code, and design. We'll not only cover .NET topics, but also topics ranging from APIs, databases, design patterns, microservices, message buses, NoSQL database and many other topics.
