- If no Pre-game show talk is scheduled, we will start the main presentation at 6:15.
In this session, we'll talk about the MEAN stack – MongoDB, Express, AngularJS, and Node.js. We'll demo how all the pieces fit together and draw associations to similarities in ASP.NET. By the end of the talk, participants will know how to get started creating their own Node.js project in Visual Studio on a Windows OS. More importantly, we’ll have a better understanding of why Node.js exists and what we can learn from it.
Leila grew up on a swampy farm in Florida, where protecting livestock from nuisance alligators was the norm. Proud of surviving a wild upbringing, she's takes even more pride in surviving several years of boredom in government dev shops. She now gets her thrills as a Senior Developer for Aspenware, learning new technologies while consulting for clients in the travel industry. Leila is a University of Florida alumni, with a Master's in Computer Information Systems. She's known locally as @thatgirlcancode.
