Rally Development Evolution - from 8 week iterations to Continuous Deployment

Details

Rally Software has been promoting agile practices for a while now but our development process has gone through a number of iterations to get to where we are today. Starting with 8 week release cycles through 1 week cycles and now doing Continuous Deployment, this talk is focused on the evolution of our development process & what important factors led to each incremental improvement in the process.

It is often difficult to envision how you can move from long release cycles to continuous deployment. Our hope with this talk is to show that this process is incremental and usually driven by inspecting what doesn't work and trying to do something better. There have been some key factors in the success of our move toward faster and faster release cycles and this talk aims to identify those and help others move in the same direction.

Doors will open at 6pm & talks will start at 6:30. The talk should wrap up by 7:30-8pm and there is plenty of time for networking and discussion before and after the talk. Pizza & drinks will be provided.
