Building Community Through Timebanking!, Intro for Prospective Members

Details
This event is being held for prospective members and new members.
How would you like to get the support you need to make your life easier, while supporting others doing what you love, and make a difference in your community? How would it feel to participate in those connections and relationships all outside of the conventional for-profit economy?
Please join me and other members of TimeBank Boulder - a non-profit exchange organization with 135 members - to learn how you can trade your services through the use of time credits. Within TimeBanking, everyone’s skills are equally valued, no matter what the service. For every hour you spend doing something for someone in the TimeBanking Community, you earn one Time Dollar, which you can then use to spend on receiving another's gifts and talents. Simple, but powerful! The movie "Fix the Future” offers a couple of other examples of how this new kind of community is working:

It’s also a great way to practice asking for assistance, and for entrepreneurs to offer a set amount of hours toward Timebanking to assist those clients that can’t afford their typical rates.
Those who join this event will have an opportunity to draft a brief bio, gain clarity on the gifts and talents they'd like to share with others, and draft an ASK for those activities they would prefer to delegate. If you decide to become a member, stay for the new member orientation so you can start participating in the time bank exchanges!
