7:15pm, Gitcoin: From Side Project to Full Time
We are joined by Kevin Owocki; a local community member and founder of Gitcoin.co. Kevin has been an organizer for Boulder Startup Week and Ignite Boulder since 2013; and is the founder of Gitcoin.co -- a project designed to push open source forward by leveraging Ethereum to allow developers to put bounties on Open Source Software. Kevin will be talking about the founding of Gitcoin, why Open Source is so important, and the future of the intersection of blockchain + knowledge work.
Our meetup has implemented the PyCon "Code of Conduct" (https://us.pycon.org/2016/about/code-of-conduct/) for ensuring all members attending a session feel included and heard. Thanks for your mutual respect to one another.
