Speaker- Vanessa Callahan
Vanessa Callahan is a keynote speaker for business owners and visionaries. Her audiences include national franchises, small business owners, and collections of people who know they are meant for more. Vanessa bought a Budget Blinds franchise in 2008 at the age of 20. Owning a business at such a young age taught her critical life lessons- including how ANYONE can have the life and business of their dreams with the right mindset. Through many ups and downs, Vanessa built her franchise into a business that runs itself and claimed her true calling as a speaker.
Her keynotes are powerful.
Her honest and compelling story of struggle and success reveals how EVERYONE can INSTANTLY have the life they want. We all have greatness within. Vanessa shows you how to grab onto your light.
She created the Instantly Change Workshop Series in order to teach other business owners and visionaries how to adopt the mindset of success. Class attendees learn to OWN their greatness NOW. By doing so they create the lives they've always wanted and effortlessly shine in their fullness.
Topic Description: If you don't like your business results- look inward. If you rate your business as anything less than a 10- look inward.
We all have a fantasy version of ourselves that we think we'll be SOMEDAY- but who is that person? What are their habits? What are their beliefs? If you want to live the life of your dreams- BE the person you've always dreamt of being, NOW!

Pitch Entrepreneur- Phil Pickering
In my off-time I like to ski, play hockey and spend time with my wife and two daughters. I graduated with an Electrical Engineering degree and moved to Colorado after graduation to work in the semiconductor storage industry. After about 8 years working in semiconductors I shifted gears and began working for a software consulting firm in Boulder. While not a developer, I do have a broad understanding of how to manage software projects. Of course my lifelong dream was to build my own business, so after a few years in the software consulting business I left to cofound a business intelligence/software consulting company of my own with a friend called DataFive. Originally we set out to do consulting work as a stopgap until we figured out a good product we could develop and sell.
Enter OpenCareer. About a year and a half ago we were talking about how performance reviews are always a stressful event for both employees and supervisors, and reflected on some of our own career mistakes in the past. We determined that there need to be better career development tools geared toward individuals instead of companies – empowering them to have more control over their career destinies. So we started working on OpenCareer. Its mission: help individuals succeed in their career.
Our plan is to build a suite of software tools aimed at helping individuals guide and accelerate their career paths. The first generation is aimed at helping individuals overcome the stress and increase the value of their performance reviews by setting goals and tracking accomplishments, then easily publish an outstanding report showcasing all of their contributions. We launched in December and are trying to spread the buzz about our product – which as both technical and operations guys is a real challenge for us!
