I'm Samuel Khan, one of the hosts for Board Games & Brews, and I'm excited to announce our upcoming event! I wanted to increase visibility for the South Florida Board Gamers’ partnership with Tower of Games, where we’ll be hosting an all-day board game event on the third Saturday of each month. I’m genuinely happy to help raise awareness for this great initiative and do something I enjoy monthly.

Join us on October 18 to play some board games and enjoy the lovely atmosphere at Tower of Games! They will be running their fantastic Saturday promotion: buy one board game and get a second one at half price. Additionally, Tower has an excellent second-hand board game library where you can purchase used games, and they will also buy used games if you want to contribute to their collection.

If you're interested in playing any of their used games, there’s a $2 fee per person for all-day access. I highly recommend this option for anyone looking to learn and try new games. If you decide to buy a used game, the $2 will be deducted from your purchase.

We'll be sharing the space with their One Piece and Star Wars TCG event at 2:00 PM, which will take up some of the table space. However, there are semi-private D&D booths that comfortably seat four people, or up to six if everyone is okay with getting a bit cozy. If there's interest, we can even try a bigger game like Secret Hitler.

I have a prior engagement in the evening and will need to leave around 6:00 PM, but the event officially runs until 9:00 PM, and Tower will be open until 11:00 PM.

We hope to see you there for a chance to meet new people and learn about the exciting board game events happening in South Florida!

FAQ

Why didn’t I advertise in September? There was a Magic pre-release event that took up a lot of space, so I didn't feel comfortable advertising, since I was one of the occupants.

Is this going to be a regular thing? I’ll try to advertise it regularly and plan to attend regardless.

When are you going to host your own weekend event? I’ll do it when I can find a decent space for us to enjoy and have some free time.
