What we’re about
Hi there! This group is for Unity users located in Bristol that seek to gain more experience and share it with like minded peers. Our aim is to create a forum where we can share knowledge, offer advice to each other and get feedback on the projects we are working on. The group includes both professional and amatour developers. In short, everyone is welcome. The meetup is organised in association with Bristol Games Hub where our events is taking place. The main meetup is run on a monthly basis and always features a talk on a specific aspect of Unity development. Afterwards the floor is open to either ask for help and to showcase your project to get feedback on it. The meetups usually ends on so we also get a chance to socialise as well. The first talk we held was a general introduction to Unity and we aim to have talks on everything from shaders, editer extensions, networking, and post-mortems on finished Unity projects. We welcome input and ideas from everyone so if you have an idea for a talk at the monthly meetup or a completely separate event you are more than welcome to drop us a message. We are looking forward to meet you!

See all- How to survive a console port2 Mitchell Ln, Bristol
Hi everyone,
We're back in September and back at dBs Institute who have kindly volunteered their space again. Massive thanks to them for helping out.
Fraser from Auroch Digital is speaking at this one. He's going to pass on some of his experiences and tips to keep in mind if you are considering porting your game on to console. His description for the talk is below:
"So you're thinking about releasing your game on consoles? Or maybe you want to put someone else’s game onto consoles?
This talk will guide you through the problems you’ll encounter and the decisions you’ll have to make in order to release a great port.
Learn from our mistakes and successes and prepare yourself for the challenges involved in surviving your first console release."
Auroch also have job vacancies they are looking to fill so check out their website for more details.
Really looking forward to it! Any questions or queries, let me know!
Lukas
