How to learn Unity from any background

Details
Hi all,
Sorry for the delay in scheduling new meetups. Both Alex and I have been very busy over the last couple of months.
We're back at the end of the month though with a panel (I think a first for the Unity Meetup). With Unity becoming increasingly mainstream in the digital space, Unity skills are becoming increasingly important to learn for multiple fields.
With this in mind, we thought we'd arrange a panel to give insight of how to learn Unity from different backgrounds. The panel members are:
Ashley Gwinnell - Ashley is founder of indie studio Force Of Habit. An avid game jammer, tinkerer, and autodidact, he writes games in his bespoke C++ game engine and has completed multiple freelance projects with Unity.
Chris Raadjes - Chris is a UI Designer & 2D Artist at Auroch Digital, where he has spent the last five years working on games such as Plague Inc. Evolved. In pursuit of improving the User Experience of Auroch’s games, he has created playable prototypes, written shaders and programmed interfaces in addition to his daily design and art roles - giving him a broad understanding of both the artistic and technical sides of the Unity Engine.
Rob Brooks - Rob is a freelance gameplay programmer and online tutor. Rob primarily works with Unreal after using Unity for two years at Opposable VR.
We'll go through why they learnt Unity, what resources they recommend, the benefits and drawbacks compared to their previous (or current) engine choice amongst plenty more. Hopefully all attendees will take away an insight of either how to do their job better or how to best learn a new skill.
We'll also have the show and tell session which I imagine will be quite busy with a few Fuse game jam entries.
Kuva are kindly sponsoring this session so we're at a new location. I've been promised beer and pizza! Please note, we have a maximum capacity of 40 so please RSVP!
Any other questions please ask!
Thanks,
Lukas
