How to Understand the Mind
With American Buddhist monk and Resident Teacher, Kelsang Tabkay We are using our minds in every moment of every day, but we usually do not pause to investigate or try to control our own mind. By coming to gain insight into the many parts and functions of our mind, we will gain the possibility of developing much greater peace, happiness, and mental flexibility. This meditation based series will be based on the extraordinarily practical book, How to Understand the Mind, by contemporary Buddhist master, Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. These classes are suitable for beginners and chairs are provided. Each class includes a relaxing guided meditation lasting 15 - 20 minutes, a practical teaching on developing a peaceful mind, and time for questions. No need to pre-register or attend the whole series, just drop in as our schedule allows. Everyone is welcome to attend. Classes are $10 or $5 for students About the Teacher Kelsang Tabkay is an American Buddhist monk and the Resident Teacher at Kadampa Meditation Center Phoenix.
