Who we are:
Burlington Ski and Outing Club (BSOC) was formed in 1991 and is a local group of outdoor enthusiasts. Adults of all ages are welcome to join. Our current membership includes many healthy, active, retired and semi-retired people. Our outings are supportive and non-competitive in nature. If you like to get outdoors and be active, this is a great group.
What we do:
Outdoor Sports—BSOC leads X-country, downhill, snow shoe and winter hike outings throughout the winter season. We meet up for hiking, bicycling, and paddling activities in the off season. We are all volunteers, so any club member can organize an outing; you don't need to be an expert!
Social activities— Our ski season starts with an overnight trip to Craftsbury Outdoor Center which combines outdoor activities with with a group get-together. We usually have two other social events each year.
Club membership:
We encourage all members to join both our Meetup group, which is our main method of communication, and our club which maintains a complete membership list including each member’s sports interests and contact information for those who choose to share it. To join the club highlight and print the form below and follow the instructions on the form.
Meetup group members who have paid annual club dues can participate in all of our sport and social activities. You are welcome to attend sport activities during your Meetup trial period but will be charged a fee to attend social activities. When your trial period expires you will be expected to either pay dues or leave the group.
Paying dues:
Meetup prefers that all members pay online. After you join the group, Meetup automatically sends an email update 7 days and 1 day before your trial expires, reminding you to enter your credit card information. You can enter your payment details at any time during your trial period, but you won’t be charged until your trial expiration date. Follow the instructions provided in the email.
Paying online is also easier for the BSOC treasurer and membership chairman. However, if you have a strong objection to paying online you can pay by check using the form below. Highlight it, print it and follow the instructions on the form.
Club Dues: $15 per person.
