Two Networking Events Monday + Rest of the Week

From: user 5.

Oddly many otherwise stalwart groups haven’t updated their websites this week.
Otherwise, Monday at 1-2:30pm at Connect in Sunnyvale, for those who are pre-, post, current ProMatch, there is “Steve’s Drop In Strategy Group”
Later Monday, from 6 – 7:30pm, there is this event, an ASME event:
“Come join your local Silicon Valley section of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) for their October networking event.
This networking event hosted by Studio RED will provide attendees with the opportunity to meet other local ASME members and leaders.“
Free event, I signed up.
Tuesday morning at 8:30am, at the Sunnyvale Council Chambers, there is Bio2Device, this week featuring “Integrating Reimbursement into Early Stage Diagnostic Development” with speaker Stanley Skrzypczak, M.S., M.B.A, Senior Director, Commercial Development, Genomic Health
I’ve neglected this group for several weeks now, perhaps I’ll get back on the wagon this week.
Later at the nearby Connect Center, Toastmatchers will be at 1pm.
Didn’t find anything going on Tuesday night or Wednesday.
Thursday, at 8am, or maybe 6:30pm, in Saratoga, or somewhere else, Eco Green Group will meet as usual, I heard they will have a speaker who is a Nobel prize winner, built an environmentally sound home in Saratoga, but of course it’s not on their website yet, but I did see this:
The House That Sven Thesen Built - A Zero Net Energy Home! - EcoGreen Group - 11/1/12 - 6:30PM Santa Clara - Tickets -
Thier website is likely to be updated before the event transpires:
Fortunately I’ll be at Triple Ring that evening so won’t have to figure this out. Unless it’s at 8am afterall.
At 10:15am, in Saratoga, the weekly Csix, will presumably occur, though there’s no new info on their website.
Later at about 6pm at Triple Ring in Newark, I assume there will be Medtech Frontiers but their website has not been updated.  I’ve had to skip this meeting a couple times now, so hope they have something going on this week:
An alternative to this event, though the snacks aren’t nearly as good, is the IEEE Reliability event, this month considering “New Control Design for a Changing Lab Environment” with speaker Dr. James Zhuge.
Friday at 9:30am at Connect there is Post Pro Match
Saturday at 9:30am there is Career Actions Ministry in Mountain View, featuring “Solidifying Inner Balance During Uncertain Seasons and Beyond” with Guest Speaker  Brian Person
Last week, while my plans suddenly changed and I could actually have attended Bio2Device and Toastmatchers, I chose not to.
Later on Wednesday several heeded the wisdom of my message and attended the “ASQ Northern California BioMedical Discussion Group Roundtable” on Wednesday evening, good speakers and even better interaction with the many attendees.
While I intended to be at the MIT club event Thursday, I realized it was the same time window as the second meeting of a class I signed up for, wanted to go to the MIT event but felt I had to attend the second class meeting to establish some credibility.  I’m sure the MIT event was great though, they always are.  Did anyone here go?
Skipped Eco Green Group, but was at Csix with Brian Pototo, kinda put him on the spot, I genuinely thought he would be hip to my countless LI updates, but no, he choked. Something to be learned here.
