Sustainability for Lunch

Details

Due to the overwhelming popularity of our breakfast events, we are pleased to introduce Sustainability for Lunch this summer! Each month from June-September we'll feature a different local business and tour its operations to learn more about its sustainability practices.

In September we'll visit The Light Cellar - a Calgary-based, family owned business offering fairly traded, sustainably priced, raw organic superfoods, superherbs and raw chocolate making ingredients. They offer regular events and workshops to support you in sustainably and deliciously nourishing your body, mind and spirit with raw, organic superfoods!

The tour will include a demonstration of the art and craft of their process for making sauerkraut, and an opportunity to sample traditional and exotic varieties.

This event is limited to 30 guests. Register early to avoid disappointment!

Although there is no fee to attend, donations ($10 suggested) are greatly appreciated. All donations will help REAP to continue to deliver public outreach and education programs like the Sustainability for Breakfast and Sustainability for Lunch series.

Proudly organized by REAP Business Association and The City of Calgary's Office of Sustainability.
