CamPUG 5th May: The Art of Python
Details
This is the May monthly meeting. And it's another virtual meeting.
Cambridge artist (and former COBOL programmer) Robert Good will share his attempts to reboot his programming skills and learn Python from scratch to help him to automate and animate his artwork. www.robertgood.co.uk
I was pleased when Robert said he would do this, because I find his artwork interesting, and programming to enable art is not something we commonly hear about.
Note that we're back to starting at 19:00 (7pm). Please join the meeting before that, so we can start on time.
Join the meeting by going to
https://meet.jit.si/PythonPythonPythonSomethingPython
in Chrome (Firefox and Safari don't work well). The meeting space is open now, but I probably shan't start paying proper attention to it until about 18:45 (you can always talk amongst yourselves).
There's no fixed time for stopping - I don't intend to try and do virtual meetups that last as long as our physical ones, so we're going for one speaker plus discussion, and the meeting will end when the last person exits.
If anyone cares about/needs separate audio, jitsi.meet says:

If also dialing-in through a room phone, join without connecting to audio: https://meet.jit.si/PythonPythonPythonSomethingPython#config.startSilent=true
Remember that everything we do must follow our code of conduct - see https://github.com/campug/organisational/blob/master/CodeOfConduct.rst. Basically, be considerate to each other.
And lastly, feel free to join our slack group (https://join.slack.com/t/campug/shared_invite/enQtMzM2NjcwMzM2ODM2LTQyMmQ5MmVlZGMxMzBhOGQ0MTQ1ZGMyMTkzYjc1MWQzM2M2ZDViZDc5NDEyYmViY2QyNWJlMjg2ZTkwNzc3NjM) for general discussion before and after the meeting.
