Wednesday life drawing @ Signal Box
Wednesday Life Drawing @ Signal Box 7:10-9:30pm, Signal Box, The Emerald Building, 32 Glenalmond Avenue, Cambridge CB2 8DB Life drawing in the Signal Box centre, 7:15-9:30 (including a 15 minute break with tea/coffee). We will start promptly at 7:15 so please arrive a little earlier. We are sometimes very busy, so if you arrive late you may not get a place. If you think that you may leave the session early then please sit near to the door and try to walk around the outside of the room, not through the centre. The price for the session is £7. The model will take a range of poses starting from one minute long and increasing up to as much as an hour. There is no tutoring, but beginners are free to ask more experienced artists for advice. After the session we usually go to the pub for a drink. You will need to bring your own drawing materials. If you will be working with messy materials (charcoal, pastel, ink) please bring a sheet to keep the floor clean. Unfortunately for this session we have a very limited number of easels - please bring your own if you want to use one. This is a drop-in session so advance booking is not required. The signal box can be found at Glenalmond Avenue (off Clarendon Rd), CB2 8DB. The entrance is on the far left hand side of the building as you approach from Glenalmond Avenue. On street parking is on Clarendon & Shaftesbury Roads. Directions can be found here: Join our Facebook group here: Email: [masked] • What to bring Drawing equipment, paper, easel if required. What we're about

This group exists to support people who are interested in creating art in Cambridge, whether for fun or professionally.

We run two main regular events - a weekly drop in life drawing session on most Wednesdays evenings. We have a model for two hours and you're invited to turn up and draw/paint/sculpt. There is no teaching, but beginners are welcome. Bring your own materials - we'll provide boards, chairs, and the model. Cost is £7 per session.

We also run a monthly pub sketching meetup, where you can draw in relaxed surroundings with beer. Great if you want to improve your ability to sketch people and face the challenge of having models who don't sit still. Sharing and critique is encouraged.

Remember the key to improvement is regular practice, so whatever your level come along and get drawing!
