Python Core Development 101 (and why I think they should use Hypothesis)
Details
You probably know that Python is an open source project, but how does that work exactly? Zac will explain the roles of the Python Software Foundation, the Steering Committee, core developers, and the (paradoxically former) 'benevolent dictator for life' Guido van Rossum.
And after explaining that background, he'll give a live rehearsal of his talk for the Language summit - https://us.pycon.org/2021/summits/language/ - explaining why fuzzing and property-based testing might be helpful.
---------------
As a first-thursday-of-the-month, this event will consist of a talk (well, pair of short talks). Turn up at 6pm for the free pizza and soft drinks thanks to our generous sponsors; then talks and Q&A; and finally some social discussion before we wrap up.
Python-related lightning talks (1-5 minutes) are welcome on the night.
