Let's meet up after work at 6:30pm (to hopefully give people time to get there), and we can discuss some canyoneering topics and answer some questions.
I'll bring some descending devices along, and we can go over them (some pros and cons) and how they work. Feel free to bring your descender and any questions as well. NOTE: This will be discussion, NOT vertical training on the rock.
We should have additional time to go over some knots, and when to use them (figure 8, butterfly, etc.) I'll try to answer questions you may have until sunset, which will be around 8:30pm. (Feel free to message me your questions ahead of time through Meetup, so I can either be prepared to answer them this session - or possibly use it to set up the next after work session.)
Since Boulder Canyon is under major construction, we'll plan to do this at Ebin G Fine park. There is a small lot at the park, but many times it is full: https://goo.gl/maps/tD7915i1gYhZuQNT6
You might consider parking at the Justice Center, and walk over to the park from there:
(It's about a half mile / 15 minutes on the bike paths.)
Bring a headlamp, appropriate clothing for the weather, water and snacks. You are welcome to bring a folding chair, a notepad, a descender, and/or a small piece of rope with you.
I'm happy to discuss the upcoming class schedule, and answer any questions you have regarding that as well:
Hope to see you there!
