***If you are not camping and going to meet us for the paddle on 8/15. Meet us at 10AM at Venters Landing, 714 Kingsburg Hwy. Johnsonville,SC. Please be on time as we have many paddlers and we have a shuttle to run.***
We did a paddle of the Lynches back in June. We had such a wonderful time that I was asked then to do it again this year. Well you asked for it, so here it is.
We will again camp at River Rat's as this really worked out well for us. The fee schedule will remain the same It is $5/person each night. It is also $5/person for each shuttle trip. We will be paddling on Saturday Sept.14th an area near Johnsonville,SC. This is swampfox country. We will paddle from Hwy 41/51 to Snow Lake. This part of the river is very different than the upper part that we are used to. It is a lot more winding and a lot less defined. I have contacted Terry Cook with Swamp Fox Rentals to guide us through this area. This section will be approx. 9 miles.
On Sunday we will do what last time was an even better paddle. We will set out from Indigo Landing at 9 am, and take out at Lee's Landing. This is only about a 6-7 mile paddle, but is totally different from the upper section. This should take about 4 hours to complete. I will call Barry when we are close to take out and shuttle will be there waiting. This again will be $5/person and will bring us w/boats back to Indigo Landing.
