ASC Kayak For Kids and Veterans Volunteering

Details

The Adaptive Sports Connection (ASC) helps veterans, children, and adults who need adaptive equipment or instruction to participate in sports. Volunteers of all abilities are needed - you don't have to already know how to kayak!

Join us as a volunteer for our first annual Kayak for Kids & Veterans to raise funds for Adaptive Sports Connection, a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing for veterans, children, and adults with disabilities.

In addition to our normal kayaking we will be offering:

Scavenger Hunt
Kayak Races
Kayak Tug of War
Music
Food
Fun
Prizes

Volunteer shifts will be 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM, 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM, or you may stay all day. Please indicate your session availability in the (ASC) registration.

Volunteers will assist with equipment, basic instruction, on water support and sanitizing gear and do not have to pay a fee.
Volunteers must sign up at https://adaptivesportsconnection.org/volunteer/current-volunteer-opportunities/

See https://www.getoutandkayak.com for more details.

Please take a few minutes to review the training materials before you volunteer as some of our normal processes have changed. Go to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=emYrVixi8Z0&list=PLuxw8z4jOdYkUNsTp3SZLb2pf6kWbcm4C and the following Kayak Volunteer Training Videos will play in succession (each is short):
