Mindful Journaling: Telling Your Story through the Five Senses invites writers of all levels—whether experienced or just beginning—to slow down, breathe, and explore what’s on their heart through gentle prompts and quiet writing time. Because every story matters, this circle offers a supportive place to simply show up and write.

Come as you are, meet and connect with fellow writers, and enjoy a calm, encouraging environment where your voice is valued. Journals and pens will be provided.

Welcome to a meetup of fellow yarn and fiber art enthusiasts that love conversation, sharing ideas, and all things yarn. Join us as we share inspiration, ideas, and stories from our experiences as knitters, crocheters, and crafters. This program is not lead by an instructor, it's a social circle for sharing and discussing community resources.

Bring your own project to work on- very limited supplies are provided. While you're here, check out our many crafting books with knitting and crocheting projects to try.

Recommended for teens & adults ages 16 & up. Registration is not required, but space and supplies are limited.

Paint with Me

"Paint with Me" is a free painting class at Allegra Westbrooks Regional Library, led by artist Janeva Tyree. Participants will receive guided instruction on painting and learn various techniques to create their own unique masterpieces, which they can take home. All necessary supplies will be provided.
Classes are open to individuals aged [9 and up, 9-18, or 18 and up].
This program is designed to educate and inspire the community, fostering creativity and hands-on learning.
"Paint with Me" is sponsored by ASC Culture Blocks—a community partnership funded by Mecklenburg County.

SMART Family and Friends

If you love someone struggling with addictive behavior and want to know how you can help, join us for the SMART Recovery Family & Friends program. It's a mutual support program for parents, family members, partners, and friends impacted by the addictive behavior of a loved one. Registration is optional--feel free to just show up!

This program introduces cognitive skills tools and evidence-based strategies of the Community Reinforcement and Family Training (CRAFT) approach and the Invitation to Change Approach from the Center for Motivation and Change Foundation. Participants connect with one another and discuss practical tools for coping more effectively and/or supporting a loved one more effectively, as they choose.
