What we’re about
The purpose of the group is to have fun while improving our skills at playing ukulele. The group is open to all skill levels and there should be something for everyone. Our playout sets are found on ukeeducation.org under lead sheets. We're currently meeting at Meadows Presbyterian Church on the 4th Thursday of each month.

November CUUL Jam
Meadows Presbyterian Church, 2200 Angus Rd, Charlottesville, VA, USOur November CUUL jam will take place on Thursday, November 20th from 6:00 to 7:30 PM at Meadows Presbyterian Church. (A bit earlier 'cause of the Thanksgiving holiday).
This month we're going try out some new technology, with the aid of a set of "best of" songs from the recent Ukapalooza jam (plus a special bonus artist!). Meadows has installed some new TVs, and we're going to see what it's like playing songs together from a monitor. Consequently, we're not distributing a songbook this month. However, if you have the "Yellow Book," the first installation in Jim Beloff's "Daily Ukulele" set of songbooks, please bring it along in case we find something interesting there. We also encourage folks to introduce new songs to the group, and if you'd like to do so, please bring 10-12 copies along and we'll have at it. We're always looking to learn and play new songs -- and Halloween is right around the corner!
We meet in the Fellowship Hall at the aforementioned Meadows Presbyterian Church on Angus Road. Park in the side parking lot and plan to enter through the double doors at the front of the church -- the room is on the right.
We normally gather in a circle on the 4th Thursday of each month and take turns selecting songs for the group to play and sing together, either from the songbook or from music folks have brought with them. There's no obligation to either choose or lead songs; other members are happy to help where needed. We play a variety of songs of all levels, and most assuredly, a good time will be had by all!3 attendees
