About us
The purpose of the group is to have fun while improving our skills at playing ukulele. The group is open to all skill levels and there should be something for everyone. Our playout sets are found on ukeeducation.org under lead sheets. We're currently meeting at Meadows Presbyterian Church on the 4th Thursday of each month.

October CUUL Jam, Part 1
Meadows Presbyterian Church, 2200 Angus Rd, Charlottesville, VA, USWe're again planning on TWO ukulele get-togethers in October, the first on Thursday, October 8th* from 6:00 to 7:30 PM at Meadows Presbyterian Church with the theme of “The Eyes Have It” (or perhaps “The I’s Have It” :) ... lots of songs featuring things that you/I wanna do!
It's amazing how many songwriters put their desires and feelings into verse. They need you, feel the earth move under their feet, want to hold your hand, and much, much more!
Bring along a copy of the attached songbook and some good stories about your own desires and feelings (and, of course, your uke — don't forget the uke!) ... it'll be a musical trip through our ids, egos, and superegos!
We'll be meeting in the Dogwood Room at the aforementioned location on Angus Road. Park in the side parking lot and plan to enter through the front door at the front of the building -- if you arrive a bit early, there will be someone there to direct you.
*Our regular CUUL jam will take place on October 22nd -- the 4th Thursday of the month.
We normally gather in a circle on the 4th Thursday of each month and take turns selecting songs for the group to play and sing together, either from the songbook or from music folks have brought with them. There's no obligation to either choose or lead songs; other members are happy to help where needed. We play a variety of songs of all levels, and most assuredly, a good time will be had by all!

Meadows Presbyterian Church, 2200 Angus Rd, Charlottesville, VA, USOur second October CUUL jam will take place Thursday, October 22nd from 6:00 to 7:30 PM at Meadows Presbyterian Church. There's no particular theme planned for this jam at our regularly-scheduled meeting time. Rather, bring along your copies of Jim Beloff’s purple songbook and I'm sure we'll find something enjoyable to play. (If you don't have a copy, no worries -- we're a friendly sharing bunch!)
As usual, we'll be meeting in the Fellowship Hall at the aforementioned location on Angus Road. Park in the side parking lot and plan to enter through the front door at the front of the building -- we'll be in the room on the right.
