About AAII - The American Association of Individual Investors is an independent nonprofit corporation formed in 1978, based in Chicago and created for the purpose of assisting individuals in becoming effective managers of their own assets through programs of education, information and research.

This meetup helps provide a place and venue for traders and investors of all levels (from Beginners to Professionals) to meet and network with other like-minded investors and experts on various investment subjects.
The objective is to learn, share experiences, and information in a quiet, professional, interactive. and educational environment.
Meetups are expected to be at least 90% educational. Most are presentations by well known investment authors, real estate experts, software vendors, brokerages, exchanges, and professional traders that know you want to learn how to successfully invest on your own.
