Ruby and its most commonly used framework, Rails, are great for a lot of things but unfortunately performance is not one of them. However, there are many different ways to boost the performance and scalability of your application if you know what you are doing. This presentation will cover some of the various techniques available to overcome some of the performance deficiencies of Ruby itself as well as Rails.

Patrick (https://www.linkedin.com/in/patrickmcsweeny)is a full stack web developer specializing in Ruby on Rails. He has worked on web applications for startups, non-profits, educational institutions and more. He is the organizer of the Ann Arbor Ruby Brigade and active GDI volunteer.
