Plant-based diets in athletes are extremely popular right now. From ultra endurance triathlete Rich Roll to ultimate fighter Mac Danzig, the public are intrigued and awed by these powerhouse individuals. But can every active person fuel his or her workout without animal products? Are vegan diets healthy and/or advantageous? Learn the answers and more from Matt Ruscigno, a Registered Dietitian, accomplished athlete, and 16-year vegan who works closely with plant-based athletes. He will cover the basics of plant-based sports nutrition, share his experiences, and show clips from his documentary series on vegan athletes, Day in the Life.
