ChickTech invites you to our ChickTech: High School 2014 Bay Area Tech Show! Our high school participants will have worked hard all weekend to create an awesome project in one of our workshops. Stop by and see what they've created! We think you'll be amazed by their creativity and progress, especially since most of our participants have never been exposed to programming or hardware before.

ChickTech's mission is to close the gender imbalance in the technology industry by inspiring and empowering girls through hands-on, technology-centric events. We still have a long way to go: only 0.4% of high school girls choose computer science when they graduate from high school. And in a room of 25 engineers, only 3 are women.

Studies have shown that in order to remove this barrier and to boost confidence in these young girls, we must show that coding is fun and exciting at an early age. We also need to help these girls feel that they belong in a technology career, regardless of traditional stereotypes. By serving girls who have not opted in to technology opportunities, we are giving them a chance to discover the exciting world of tech!

The event is FREE. We operate 100% on the kind and generous support of our partners, sponsors, and donors. Your donation helps us to conduct these workshops and to continue building our participants' confidence level and sense of belonging in STEM. Every donation helps so that we can continue to inspire, empower, and promote girls in the STEM field.

Donate on our gofundme page ( to support our mission!

We look forward to seeing you there.
