At Expat Cinema: Meet up we screen recent foreign language films with English subtitles. Afterwards we get together to chat and network over a drink.
The meetings are at Rialto VU: a brand new innovative film theatre at the VU Campus. Our host Karolina will be there beforehand and afterwards to meet and greet and have a few drinks.
Tickets are €12, or you can use your Cineville-card, which makes it a bargain to boot. Tickets can be booked or reserved in advance.

🎥 Screening: LEFT-HANDED GIRL by Shih-Ching Tsou on Sunday 14 December at 17:15.
🎬 LEFT-HANDED GIRL: After years of living in the countryside, single mother Shu-Fen has returned to Taipei with her two daughters, I-Ann and I-Jing. There, she tries to earn a living by working hard as the owner of a noodle stall. As if that weren't enough to worry about, the rebellious teenager I-Ann has dropped out of school, while five-year-old I-Jing has a completely different problem. She is left-handed, which her grandfather disapproves of, calling it “the hand of the devil”. From this, she concludes that she is not responsible for what her left hand does. That conclusion does not remain without consequences.
