Join us for an unforgettable weekend of hammock camping, biking, hiking, and stargazing in the great outdoors!
The purpose of this hammock camping trip is to introduce campers to the basics of hammock camping and help them feel confident setting up and sleeping in a hammock overnight. Participants will learn about gear, setup techniques, and tips for a comfortable and safe experience in the great outdoors.
Campers can set up hammocks or tents and enjoy a full weekend of adventure, including a guided bike ride and a Day Hike & Creek Walk led by the Goombay Hike Crew. In the evenings, wind down with games, campfire conversations, and late-night fun. This is the perfect escape to connect with nature, build community, and make lasting memoriesโyou donโt want to miss it!
We do ask that everyone check in and set up during the day. We will have staff available to assist with tent and hammock set ups

BIKING
During the weekend, we will take a 8-10 mile bike ride and explore the natural landmarks of the park. You must bring your own bike and repair kits and we will be traveling on a paved road.
HIKING
Prince William Forest Park is host to several hiking trails. We will be doing a 5-6 mile morning hike for participants that are interested in hiking. Please make sure you bring all your hiking gear including a day pack, hiking boots, plenty of water and trail snacks.
BASIC CAMPING INSTRUCTIONS
During the weekend we will instruct campers on how to properly set up a hammock for sleeping overnight. Participants may bring their own hammock or rent one for $20 during check out. It is not mandatory to sleep in a hammock so tent campers are welcomed. We will be camping out in a forest so space is limited and we ask that campers camping in tents, make sure the tents are big cabin tents.
