Joe Clair, also known by the nickname "Joe Cleezy", is a stand-up comedian, radio personality, VJ and actor. A native of the Seat Pleasant, Maryland suburb of Washington , DC, Clair is best known as a former host of BET’s Rap City from 1994 to 1999. Aside from his work as host of Rap City, Clair has also hosted several radio shows and appeared on the stand-up comedy shows Def Comedy Jam and ComicView.

Following the end to his highly acclaimed radio show, Joe has partnered with longtime friend, Big Lez of MTV fame, to create a podcast focused on the pioneers of the entertainment industry such as Big Daddy Kane and Special Wd to name a few. The podcast is called ‘The Ruckus with Lez & Joe Clair’.

*Age requirement: 21 yrs and over to consume alcohol. Otherwise minimum age is 18 to enter the building. Must have government ID
*Photography, filming, videotaping or other forms of recording is strictly prohibited. Guests who do not follow this policy will be asked to leave.

Free parking: There is a parking lot behind the restaurant and street parking available on Baltimore Avenue. Also, parking is available in Lot 5 behind Crossover Church.

Roy Wood from the Daily Show is back in town 2/5/22. If anyone has ever witnessed his work, the man is brilliant. There is a PRESALE Code of Winter22. That means tickets can be purchased BEFORE they go on sale to the general public.

These are the instructions from The DC Improv who will try to sit us as a group if you do the following
1. After you have purchased your ticket just send me a message on Meetup.com and provide your name(s) and I will add you to the list.
2. The PRESALE CODE is Winter22
3. To sit us as a group, that means they will try to sit us together but we MUST arrive early
4. Meet us there no later than 5 pm so we can enter as a group that is a requirement of the club.
5. Bring cash so it is easier to pay your tab

"At the request of the artist, patrons for these shows must present proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 to be admitted to the venue. Proof of vaccination can be either your completed vaccination card or a legible photo of a card saved to your phone. The last dose must be at least two weeks ago. Patrons will also be asked to present a photo ID matching the name on the card."



Maryland Small Arms Range, Inc.

The Goombay Carry & Conceal Training Class for DC, VA & MD (including the MD HQL) - FEBRUARY 2022

CLASS DATES: Saturday, February 19th & February 20th - 10:00am-6:00pm/Range Qualification will begin at 6pm and end at 9:00pm on Sunday, February 20th

* Please report to the 2nd Floor Classroom by 9:45am each day to check in with your government ID. If you are late, you will not be allowed in. PLEASE BE ON TIME!

* A short 1 hour break for lunch will happen each day

LOCATION: MD SMALL ARMS RANGE (MSAR), 9801 Fallard Court, Upper Marlboro, MD 20772. Classroom on 2nd floor.

COST: $315 per student. This fee includes training certificates for DC, MD & VA CCP, ear and eye protection, range fees, gun rental if you do not have one, ammunition and targets.


STUDENT INSTRUCTIONS: Students must report on time as they are required by regulations to attend all of the hours. ASTC will provide each student with a 38 Special Revolver and the ammunition for their range qualification. The firearm provided will be the choice of ASTC as we cannot fulfil requests for specific makes, models and calibers. Those that complete the class and qualify on the range will receive DC, MD & VA training completion forms. Maryland residents will also receive their training certificate to apply for their HQL (Handgun Qualification License). Separate applications must be submitted by the students to any or all of these jurisdictions where they are seeking CCP's. Each jurisdiction has it's own procedures for applying for concealed carry permits.

** An outside company will be at the range to offer services for students that need finger printing. This is an additional fee that can be paid at the range.

At the present time face masks are required while inside the premises of the MSAR; however, this could change before the class, based on Gov. Hogan's decisions regarding COVID-19 re-openings.

Goombay Basic Rock Climbing 101

Join our adventure family as we learn the Basic Skills of Indoor Rock Climbing at one of the best rock climbing gyms in the DMV.

Sunday, February 20th | 1:00pm - 3:30pm

(please arrive by 12:45pm to complete your waiver forms. The class begins at 1:15pm)

(includes professional lessons, equipment & climbing time)

Our Basic Skills Class will teach you the essential skills needed to climb at any Sport Rock facility including how to properly put on a harness, tie into the rope and belay for a partner. You will have an opportunity to practice these skills during your class, but you will not be able to belay on your own until you pass the Top Rope Belay Test.
This activity well make you sweat and at times can be strenuous, so wear comfortable & loose clothing. Bring water or sports drink and bring a pair of thin socks for the climbing shoes.
