Black History Walking Tour

Join us for a 90-minute guided walking tour along Old Town Alexandria’s historic Duke Street corridor, exploring sites and stories central to Alexandria’s Black history.
We’ll visit sites connected to the early Alexandria slave trade, including the former locations of Franklin & Armfield and the Bruin Slave Jail, where the Edmonson sisters were held, as well as places reflecting early African American spirituality, community, resilience, and history, including Shiloh Baptist Church and the Alexandria National Cemetery.🚶🏾♀️ Tour Stops:
