Cleanweb Ideation workshop with Google Cloud - Next '17 Extended
Details
The SunCode Hackathon (https://suncodehackathon2017.splashthat.com/) at Powerhouse is just under a month away and several people have been asking Elena and I about how to create an MVP during a hackathon. Also more broadly, how to evaluate a startup idea and come up with an inspiring business pitch.
For this first of its kind "in-betweenup", Google will be hosting us at their Launchpad space in San Francisco and will be providing us with experts on how to use their cloud services in developing an MVP and providing us with tasty food to sharpen our brains for coming up with better ideas.
Rough schedule is as follows:
6:00 - 6:30 - Intro and food
6:30 - 7:00 - Google Cloud Next '17 Keynote
7:00 - 7:15 - Elena and I introduce the concept of cleanweb ideation, hackathons, how to look at the market, technology, MVP needs etc
7:15 - 7:45 - Tech Talk - Google Cloud tools most applicable for taking an idea and turning it into an MVP
7:45 - 8:30/9 - Brainstorming and group feedback
While Elena and I are both in solar, we will help you look at all cleanweb technologies and our community will likely include other experts in your chosen space leading to excellent feedback and support for developing your idea.
In addition to the SunCode hackathon at Powerhouse on April 6th and 7th, I just heard that the State Department is holding a renewable energy data science hackathon (https://www.eventbrite.com/e/state-departments-clean-energy-data-science-challenge-tickets-31550275724?utm-medium=discovery&utm-campaign=social&utm-content=attendeeshare&aff=escb&utm-source=cp&utm-term=listing) from March 31 - April 2nd.
Looking forward to seeing you again in a couple of weeks.
Best,
Ravi
