What we're about
Upcoming events (5+)
• What we'll do We will be heading into Cleveland to help prepare, serve and deliver hundreds of meals to those who otherwise would not have a dinner. This is a great opportunity to get out - with or without your kids - and be reminded that there are others who are struggling to get by everyday. (Joint Meetup) This year you can help by doing any one of the following items: 1.) Provide Commercial size cans of Green Beans or Corn or for the more adverturous...cook some leg quarters. They made a specific request for leg quarters at the last event. 2.) Come down and help prepare and serve the meals onsite. 3.) Stay and assist with the delivery of the meals to the homeless shelters and other relief sites. (Early to Mid Afternoon) Give Thanks for what we DO have! Contact Greg for more info • What to bring Can bring Commercial Size cans of Corn or Green Beans - Loaves of Bread - Desserts or Cooked Leg Quarters - none are mandatory.
This will be a weekly intermediate paced hike of about 4 to 5 miles that will start at the Rocky River Nature Center (see map). We will hike the trails in this area, as well as those around the Nature Center . The All-purpose trail will be used if the trails are washed out. Dogs: Leashed dogs are always welcome
Yorktown Lanes - near Pearl Rd & York http://yorktownlanes.com/event/retro-rock-bowl/2019-01-18/ • What we'll do Meet inside the lounge and you can pay beginning when I'm setup roughly from 9:30 pm and until I leave for the lanes around 10. As in years past cost for the evening including shoes is $11 CASH paid to me - not at the front counter. With the ticket I'll provide you can exchange it for shoes at the counter beginning at 9:45pm. Bowling is as many games as you like from 10- 2 am once the lights go dark. The lanes will be darkened with flashing colored dance lights. You'll have time to get a ball and settle into one of our group's reserved lanes. Once you come to the lounge, I'll be there to help as a guide, the lane arranger and name tag hander-outer ...so check in with Dale and I'll do my best to get everyone going in a lane for maximum fun. This is Rock n Bowl so you know that means some great 80's and 90's music will be played. Please stop at the front counter and request an upbeat song or two while you are picking up your shoes. They will play anything you request that they have available. ...so come with a song or two in mind. • What to bring Bring CASH for the event. The bar& grill will accept cash and CC's for both food and drinks. Bring skillz and your fancy pantz movez as you rock the night away with friends. This is a lot of musical and sporting fun and less so about competition - so just relax and come for some hanging out and rock'n times while bowling • Important to know The lights will be dimmed and the songs YOU request will play all night. • Please be on time - note that I don't check this site for comments during the event - get my contact information in advance or that of another attendee so you can reach someone at the event if you are lost and need directions ...etc. • Sounds simple but - Honor your RSVP - this helps tremendously for both us and especially the business that is accommodating our group's reservation. If you aren't able to come we want you to cancel your RSVP please. Don't make us come find you ;)
