Continuous Delivery in the Cloud with Spinnaker and Kubernetes (Ana Calin, Paybase)
Spinnaker is an open source Continuous Delivery software that combines a powerful and flexible pipeline management system with integrations to the major cloud providers. This talk provides a short intro to Spinnaker, a comparison between Spinnaker and Jenkins, how Spinnaker and Kubernetes can work together to deploy software and the bigger picture - how everything fits in together.
Ana is a Systems Engineer and DPO at Paybase, an upcoming Fintech in London. She is on Twitter as @AnaMariaCalin.
gRPC:Modern approach to write microservices (Dheeraj Bhadani, DNEG)
gRPC is a modern open-source high-performance RPC framework that can run in any environment. It can efficiently connect services in and across data centers with pluggable support for load balancing, tracing, health checking and authentication. This talk will introduce gRPC at a high level, key features and a service development using gRPC.
Dheeraj is a Software Architect and Developer with a keen interest in architecting and implementing practical solutions to facilitate distributed VFX production workflows.
