This talk also covers on the issues faced while running Spark application in Kubernetes and how to improve the same using Cloud native components such as Volcano Scheduler.

Srivalsan works as a Cloud Architect in Amazon Web Services UK specialising in DevOps infrastructure , Container Runtime and Kubernetes.

How SUSE helps you accelerate your Cloud-Native Journey (Nelson Batsford, SUSE)

Unknown unknowns and how to know them (Dylan Ratcliffe, Overmind)
Observability tools are brilliant for the applications that we deal with every day. But when things go wrong in an area we don’t know well we find ourselves looking at a bunch of numbers we don’t understand. In this talk, I’ll dive into how these unknown unknowns always crop up at the worst possible time, why we can’t defeat them, and how we can learn to deal with them much, much more effectively.

Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/dylanratcliffe/ I'm the founder of Overmind, a tool that automatically detects and help people to understand change events. I'm hoping to speak about the system complexity and how our mental models of our systems effect our ability to prevent and respond to outages, similar to my hypothesis in this blog post: https://overmind.tech/blog/unknown-unknowns I'll also be speaking on this topic at Config Management Camp Ghent in Feb
