Join Code for Fresno, Code for America, and the Brigade Network on Saturday, September 12th for the virtual National Day of Civic Hacking 2020! The day will bring together civic leaders, government staff, designers, coders, and engaged citizens to partner with local government and community groups to tackle some of our toughest challenges.

This year, we invite you to join us for a day of collective action to help those most in need of social safety net services during COVID-19. Have other pressing issues in your community that you’d like to work on? You’re welcome to join too! Everyone is welcome! No previous experience, expertise, or prep-work required!

Here’s the tentative schedule for the day:
(Join us when you can!)
9 am PST - 10 am PST - Code for America Keynote Event
10 am PST - 10:30 am PST - Intros and learning about our action item: a Design Audit of some of our local social safety net applications
10:30 am PST - 12:00 pm PST - Working Time - Join a Brigade-specific Zoom to work together to complete the the action item
12 pm PST - 1:00 pm PST - Lunch break (on your own or with the group over Zoom)
1:00pm PST - 2:30 pm PST - Working time and review
For the rest of the day, you can choose to hang out in a breakout session or jump around as you please
2:30pm PST - 3:00 pm PST - Wrap up and closing

What is Code for Fresno
Code for Fresno is a Code for America Brigade that brings together volunteer developers, designers, government employees, makers, and community members to build digital tools for the public good!
