Learn "ml5.js": Beginner-Friendly Machine Learning by Yasuhito Miyazaki

TALK:
Yasu will give us an intro to ml5.js, and what it can do through his demo.
He will also explain how machine learning works, and how programs can recognize objects through an image recognition app using a pre-trained model. The talk is targeted to anyone who wants know how to start learning machine learning, and for front-end engineers who want to understand how to connect front-end with ML that is implemented in the back-end. The talk will also give pointers how to advance beyond ml5.js, and what's the current state of ML with JavaScript.
SPEAKER:
Yasu grew up in Osaka, Japan, and is a former supply chain management consultant. He was involved with SAP implementation specialized in cross border projects between Japan and overseas. He is very enthusiastic to create apps that help making living in Japan easier for everyone. He also enjoys traveling and has visited over 30 countries.
