Neural Networks + NVIDIA Jetson TX1: Image Segmentation on the Edge

Neural Networks + NVIDIA Jetson TX1: Image Segmentation on the Edge

Details

Deep neural networks trained with cloud computing resources that are deployed to mobile hardware at the point of use (the edge) are revolutionizing many industries, including robotics and autonomous navigation.

In this workshop lead by Frank Burkholder Ph.D., Galvanize Data Science Instructor, a fully convolutional neural network trained on drone flight aerial images will be deployed and demonstrated on an NVIDIA Jetson TX1.

About our Speaker:

Frank Burkholder Ph.D. teaches Data Science at the Galvanize Platte campus in Denver. He worked in renewables for more than a decade (Abengoa and NREL) but became fascinated by machine learning and deep learning. This led him to Galvanize as a student and then later as an instructor, where he teaches Python, Statistics, Machine Learning, Big Data technologies, and Deep Learning. He has a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from CU Boulder, an M.S.M.E. from Wisconsin-Madison, and a B.S.M.E from Stanford University.
