The problems are not only difficult due to the size of data sets, but the computational cost associated with completing these tasks. Despite the advent of technologies like Apache Spark, sometimes large-scale solutions aren’t enough to complete tasks at hand.

Greg Chase is a data scientist at MeetMindful. His current work revolves around deep learning, natural language processing, and how this relates to human behavior within the online dating space. Being a member of the GOAI community, he’s heavily focused on GPU computing, and utilizing the GPU at every stage of the pipeline.
Greg holds a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and is a graduate of the Galvanize Data Science Immersive program.
