Extreme Camera Work - The View from an Eight-Legged Bird!
Boulder Filmmaking Incubator is thrilled to have independent filmmaker and co-founder of SkySight Aerial Imaging, Larkin Carey, speak at our October meeting. Larkin will present an overview of how Octocopter Technololgy is pushing the creativity of camera work to exciting new levels with clips from some of SkySight's national commercial and extreme sports coverage work.
According to Larkin, "Based in Boulder Colorado, SkySight thrives at the leading edge of RC Aerial Imaging technologies, exploring and mastering difficult and creative shots that advance the boundary of what is possible with a camera. We fly an octocopter designed for heavy lift filming applications with a 3-axis gimbal capable of super-stable HD footage.
SkySight was founded with climbing and adventure film in mind, it is where our passion is, however, we immediately came to appreciate what this technology means to everyone who expresses their creativity through film.
It sets the camera free in a way nothing else can do."
