Details
As long as it's not raining, Plantastic Columbus will be having a potluck OUTDOORS, in a safe & socially distanced manner, and you're all invited! It will be on Saturday, August 29th at the Park of Roses at 1 PM. If you feel comfortable with participating, please bring a whole food plant-based dish to share with everyone else who attends (details below). If you do NOT feel comfortable, no worries! We'd love to still have you join! Feel free to bring along your own food to eat. Also, please bring along a towel and/or chair for you to sit on!
Below, you will find a list of general guidelines we try to adhere to:
- Your dish should be whole food plant based and vegan, which means primarily made from unprocessed, unrefined fruits, vegetables, legumes, grains, nuts and seeds, etc.
- No animal-derived products: meat, dairy, egg, fish, etc.
- Your dish should limit oil or items that contain large amounts of oil (for example, Vegenaise).
- If your dish contains grains or grain based products, they should be 100% whole grain if possible (for example, brown rice or 100% whole wheat pasta).
- You can use salt and sweeteners in your dishes, but lesser amounts are preferred.
- Bring a copy of your recipe so people can take a picture and make their new favorite dishes at home.
- Please bring the necessary serving utensils that your dish requires, such as a ladle if you bring soup.
- If you have any questions about what to make or bring, we recommend checking out some Forks Over Knives recipes. They have a great YouTube channel for recipes, and a website with lots of great options: https://www.forksoverknives.com/recipes
We look forward to seeing you there!
