Volunteering at All People's Fresh Market

Details
The All People's Fresh Market distributes fresh produce to anyone who meets the income eligibility requirements. People are able to receive food once a day, every day, that the market is open! The market is adapting to a hybrid model that will include in-store shopping and a drive-up option.
They allow a certain number of shoppers in the store at once - their temperatures are taken at the door, appropriate social distancing is ensured, masks are required, and surfaces are regularly sanitized. People also still have the option to drive up on the south side of the building. A volunteer or two will be needed outside to sign people into Pantry Trak (rotating volunteers frequently due to the cold), and other volunteers will be needed to pack food inside and pass it through the window. Volunteers will also be needed to sign people into Pantry Trak inside, sanitize surfaces, open new boxes of food, etc.
It is important that everyone dresses for the weather (layers, hats and gloves, rain gear, etc.) Some volunteers will be outside for a time, and even inside the market, it won't be too warm due to the open window and the frequent opening of the front door.
On November 21st, we will be staffing the market! We need 6 volunteers for each of the following shifts:
8:30 to 11:30 AM
11 AM to 1 PM
If you plan to volunteer, please RSVP GOING to this event, and write in the discussion section which shift you will attend.
If you plan to volunteer, I ask that you please COMMIT to showing up. I will be checking in with everyone who has RSVP’d the week before the event, to ensure that we will have enough volunteers to safely and effectively staff the market that day. Thanks for your cooperation!
