Welcome to our network of non-profit Toastmasters clubs in Oakland which exist to help YOU with your public speaking, storytelling and communication skills. You're welcome to visit a few club meetings based on the time and place that works for your schedule.
Sample the public speaking waters and see how our diverse, friendly community is a great way to connect and make new friends!
Toastmasters International is a worldwide community with proven speaking and communication programs to take scared public speakers, self-professed introverts and unskilled managers and grow them into confident, competent, and even amazing leaders and presenters — all at your own pace, based on your own goals.
We're a non-profit, so we're cheap to join, and all we really want is for you to come grow in our safe environment, joining our supportive and amazing community!
Oakland 88 Toastmasters provides a supportive and positive learning experience in which members are empowered to develop communication and leadership skills, resulting in greater self-confidence and personal growth. We meet via Zoom until further notice.

Oakland Warehouse Toastmasters in Uptown is one of the highest ranking clubs in the world. 12+ people attend weekly! You are welcome to come visit as often as you like. Meet some great speakers, evaluators, and mentors to see how we hone our speaking and communication skills. Grab some coffee and perhaps join in; a few people give 1-2 minute impromptu speeches in each meeting. It's a great way to energize your day!
Join us at our Tuesday meetings from 12:05 - 1:00pm. As a guest you will be introduced so that the members of the club know who you are. You may take part if you wish, or just watch and listen. Have a question about Oakland Uptown? We want to hear from you!
The room number will be posted in the elevator lobby on the 8th floor.
Please be sure to bring a photo ID and be prepared to show it to the security desk in the main lobby. You may be required to sign in and wear a guest pass.
