Peer Lab - 2018, 5th Event

Come and join other developers for a peer-based collaborative learning lab. You've got a question? Maybe someone can provide you with some insight. Maybe you can help someone else with their questions. Bring a laptop and some code to work on.

Based on some much appreciated feedback we are going to try something new this time and see how that works out.

It has been suggested to dedicate part of the evening for one or more specific topics of interest. The idea being that you as participants in advance can suggest a particular topic that you would like to be discussed. Maybe you would like to talk about a topic of which you have experience to share or maybe you are just starting to look into a topic of which you would like input from your fellow participants.

As such the Peer Lab format has always been intended to be something we can play with and as such we have always been open for discussing topics of interest to the participants. We are still going to keep parts of the evening open for casual discussions as per usual, but with this new initiative we will try and introduce a bit of structure to potential knowledge sharing. See it as parts of the evening being 'themed'.

In other words - feel free to pass on suggestions for topics to be discussed. As mentioned it can be something you already have experience with, but it might as well be something you know very little of, but hope that some of the other participants might be able to pass on some knowledge. You can make the suggestions as comments to this Meetup invite or via our Slack 'Peer Lab' channel. My suggestion would then be that we start the evening going through the received suggestions and see what topics makes the most sense to dive into based on the actual participants and their interests and experiences. Ideally we can take on a couple of topics, after which we could still have time for casual discussions and mingling. Hope you will be up for giving this initiative a chance.

In case the timing conflicts with your dinner time please feel free to bring a sandwich or what you might prefer. Water, coffee, tea and soda will be available so no need to worry about bringing beverages.
