Agar Art – Painting with Bacteria! IN PERSON workshop

Details

Come and learn how to make colorful and unique living art. Design your own art piece using our colorful bacteria.

In this hands-on workshop, participants will be able to create their own works on provided Petri plates. Feel free to bring some designs for inspiration - simple line drawings that fit within a 4inch circle work best - or come up with something on the fly.

After the workshop the plates will be stored at CCL, where they will continue to develop over the next several days. Participants will have the option to submit their creation to the Agar Art Contest, organized by the American Society for Microbiology for their yearly Agar Art Contest (http://www.asm.org/agarart , deadline October 22nd).

Space is limited, so please RSVP asap, so we can keep track of total number of participants! Class fee is $15, but noone turned away for lack of funds.
