Call for Volunteers
The Roundhouse Community Centre needs some volunteers so feel free to drop in and help at anytime from now until Dec 20th to help make lanterns and any other tasks required by Joey, who is coordinating the workshops at The Roundhouse Community Centre. I will continue to set up some more Volunteer Walks on Monday and Wednesday next week.
On Dec 21st, if you are looking for some volunteer opportunities to help Setup the event, False Creek Community Centre is looking for 4 volunteers from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm and The Roundhouse Community Centre from 10am to 2pm and from 2pm to 6pm (6 volunteers each shift).
On DEC 21st they will require Set-up help from 10am to 5pm at all locations except Sun Yat Gardens, with the most need being on Granville Island at False Creek Community Center and the Performance Works, at Creekside Community Center and at The Roundhouse. This is a great opportunity to get a behind-the-scene look at how the event is set up.
Britannia Community Centre is also looking for Parade Marshalls from 5:00-8:00pm (6-10 volunteers), if you are interested in helping with the Procession.
There is also a Donation collection volunteers at Granville Island and The RoundHouse.
They also require volunteers at each location for Teardown from 9:00pm to midnight on Dec 21st, with the greatest need on Creekside and Granville Island.
On Dec 22nd they will require volunteers at The Roundhouse from 10am to 2pm for Tear-down.

Thank you everyone for helping out.
Hi Everyone,
I am planning to do a short walk with a little twist, that is volunteer to help make some lanterns for the Winter Solstice Secret Lantern Festival. We will start our walk from the entrance of Science World and walk over to the Round House Community Centre and then learn how to make lanterns and work with artists and help with a variety of workshop tasks. We will meet at the front entrance of Science World and walk over to the Roundhouse, which should take about a half-hour and then make some lanterns until 8:00 pm. Join me if you can. It's always a honour to give something back to the community. Please also let me know if want to do this on another night.
