Open Source Event: Open Source Society

LocHal Bibliotheek

At november 2, the whole LocHal library goes Open Source! What can you expect? Lots of stands with open source software and hardware initiatives; workshops; talks about interesting open source initiatives. Some of our favorites: - Joel Hernandez is the founder of the privacy friendly and open source social media platform Okuna that will be launched in januari 2020. At the open source event he will speak about how they are creating a platform that is transparant and privacy friendly by design. All the participants will get an invite to start beta-testing the platform directly! (talk is in English) - ASEED wil speak about the open sharing of seeds with their City Seed Bank (talk is in English) - WikiHouse will show you how to design and build your own house using open source technology - Come to the stand of Angry Gnome Brew to see, feel, smell (and...taste!) open source beer You can find the whole program here: www.bibliotheekmb.nl/open-source FREE ENTRANCE

Hack/Make/Learn

LocHal Bibliotheek

Hack/Make/Learn is a series of monday evening meetups in the DigiLab in the LocHal library. You are welcome to come by and work on your own projects, making use of the DigiLab facilities (3D printers; VR goggles; computers; arduino's; and more) and to meet and share knowledge with other people doing awesome projects! If you have a project that your working on (or that you'd like to start), it would be super if you can bring it!
