Enjoy the fall colors from spectacular vistas on the ridgeline overlooking Lake Superior. Hikes will be of moderate difficulty lasting up to six hours each day on the Superior Hiking Trail. Less strenuous hiking is also available. Lodging will be in Two Harbors at the AmericInn (two people per room). Amenities include a pool, hot tub, and sauna.
Drive up Sunday, hiking along the way if desired. Group hikes on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Leave after breakfast on Thursday for more individual hiking and home. Or head to Ely to join the North Star trail clearing at Camp du Nord.
Meals: AmericInn provides a continental breakfast each morning. Sunday evening we’ll have a group welcome and pizza dinner at the lodge. All other meals are your responsibility. Two Harbors has many restaurants, plus two supermarkets for those extra treats.
Details: Cost is $420, due at registration. Hotel check-in is after 4:00 p.m. on Sunday. The trip accommodates 16 people. Meet at 10:45 a.m. at Old Abe State Trail, 13836 County Highway S, Jim Falls, WI 54748.Trailhead is on right side of Highway S as you enter Jim Falls, right across from Anson Town Hall. Start biking at 11 a.m. We will bike about 25 miles round-trip along the most beautiful section of the Old Abe Trail on a smooth, flat, asphalt surface through a canopy of trees, going past Old Abe Lake {Old Abe was a bald eagle mascot of a Civil War Wisconsin Infantry troop} and the Chippewa River. Ride includes a 3-mile Norway pine loop through Brunet Island State Park. On the way back, we will stop for an indoors lunch in Cornell {home of the only pulpwood stacker in the world} at Hunt Brothers Pizza, 425 South 3rd Street, Cornell, WI 54732. If the weather is chilly, bring along layers, gloves, and a warm hat. This is about a 2-hour drive from the Twin Cities, but the biking will really be worth your time if you can make a day of it. Connect with other's for possible car pooling.

Volunteer your time to prepare the North Arm Ski Trails at Camp Du Nord for winter fun or help with other tasks to prepare the camp for the winter season. Group size up to 28.
***Lodging ***at the camp will be in 4 Northland Cabins. Please arrive after 4 PM. The cabins accommodate 7 people as follows: 1 couple in bedroom on main floor, 2 people in single beds on main floor, 3 people in single beds in the second floor loft. The cabins have a shower/bathroom, living, dining and kitchen spaces, plus a gas fireplace, and screened front porch. Electric sauna available on Friday and Saturday afternoon/evenings.
Meals (Friday breakfast to Sunday lunch) provided at the Dining Hall.

Please include your preferred sleeping arrangement, dietary restrictions, and your willingness to be a car-pool driver on the form. Arne will contact everyone to notify them of their cabin assignment and car-pool driver via email on September 21.

We have many options for all abilities – all within a short drive. Sun Valley is also home of one of the nation’s iconic downhill ski resorts, opening in 1936. Our last trip in February 2025 was a great success. We’ll have six days of glorious skiing! Mix it up and do some down-hill skiing or snowshoe on
dedicated trails.

Lodging: We’re staying at the Limelight Hotel in downtown Ketchum, Idaho within easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. The hotel provides: a scrumptious, daily breakfast buffet (with enough extras to make a trail lunch), a fitness center , WiFi, and a pool & hot tub. The hotel also has an onsite restaurant and lounge with live music many nights, room service, and a complete spa for that apre-ski massage.
Cost is based on 20 club members: Estimated costs of $1600 per person includes lodging (2 per room), continental breakfasts, and ground transportation (rented SUVs). Airfare, other meals and ski passes are individual responsibility. There are a limited number of single rooms available with a $990 additional payment.
