About us
Meet other locals who are interested in cross-country skiing, both skate and classic in season and other silent sports when there's no snow. Our members are a wealth of knowledge of local parks and trails, as well as gear and technique. All skill levels are welcome. This group is an extension of the North Star Cross Country Skiing Club established 1967.

Bike the Gateway Trail
Flicek Park, 1141 Frost, Maplewood, MN, USNorth Stars Wednesday Wanderers Event: Meet at 9:45 a.m. at 1141 Frost Avenue, Maplewood, MN 55109. Begin biking at 10:00 a.m. Biking will be 28.8 miles from Flicek Park to Pine Point and back, all on the Gateway Trail. Bring a bag picnic lunch to eat at the picnic tables at Park Point. There are restrooms at Park Point and many satellites for rest stops along the way.

Canoe/Kayak Rice Creek Water Trail
Peltier Lake Boat Launch, 7448 Main Street, Lino Lakes, MN, USNorth Stars Wednesday Wanderers Event: Meet at 9 AM at Peltier Lake Boat Landing, 7448 Main Street, Lino Lakes, MN 55038 to unload the boat and gear. Be ready for the car shuttle by 9:15 AM. The car shuttle will take about 1 hour and the paddle trip about 4 hours including a lunch stop along the way. Bring a boat, paddle, life jacket, lunch, and water.
