What we're about

Meet other locals who are interested in cross-country skiing, both skate and classic. Our members are a wealth of knowledge of local parks and trails, as well as gear and technique. All skill levels are welcome. Join us for skiing weekday evenings on metro area lit trails, or longer skis and daytrips at metro and state parks. We'll try to get in a few special events in our short season, such as full moon skis and the Luminary Loppet.

Friday Night Lights

Hyland Lake Park Reserve Visitor Center

IT'S... Friday Night Lights! Let's get out and ski on Friday evening with food and drink to follow.

** Check each week's meetup to confirm the location **

Intended as an all-levels event, to be held somewhere with doable trails, smaller loops, etc.

The trails are lit until 10PM, so there is no need to bring a headlamp, unless you want to venture out on to one of the unlit trails. We'll meet in the fireplace room to form up by skate vs. classic, etc. and will be skis-down at 6:45PM.

Please arrive about 15 minutes early to get your ski pass and/or ski rental. General info here: https://www.threeriversparks.org/activities/cross-country-skiing.aspx

Socializing afterwards at 8:00 at Northstar Tavern, 5101 W 98th St, Bloomington, MN 55437. I will call ahead for a table under my name.

Please update your RSVP if your plans change and you can no longer join us.
