What we’re about
Welcome to the online home of the Metro DC (DC/MD/Northern VA) Chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA)!
The DSA is the largest and fastest growing socialist organization in the United States. We believe that both the economy and society should be run democratically—to meet public needs, not to make profits for a few. DSA's members are building movements for social and economic justice while fighting for change in our communities and workplaces.

See all- Socialist Night School: Socialism 101Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library, Washington, DC
In our next Socialist Night School, we’ll tackle the question of socialism:
- What is capitalism?
- What is socialism?
- How does the work of DSA help us get there?
- How can you get involved (or more involved) in DSA?
While everyone is welcome, this session is designed for newer members and those who are relatively new to socialism. The session was led by Socialist Night School co-organizer David K.
This is a hybrid event. Questions? Accessibility concerns? Email politicaleducation@mdcdsa.org.

- Chapter Program Virtual Listening SessionLink visible for attendees
The Program Development Commission is inviting members to our third listening session. We now have results from the chapter survey you can look at to aid in discussion.
The Commission is working until the fall to develop a two-year program to help guide the chapter in organizing and analysis. Member input is vital to ensure it's a program that has the confidence of membership.
